Geeks Have More Fun#

A snippet from a mail conversation today to discuss dinner plans (names scrambled to protect the geeky; by the way, "GPL" is a well-known location):

Since when is ROT13 a protection?

I've yet to find a bot or search engine that applies ROT13 to a page before spidering it so it's protected from machines, not humans ;-)

Applying ROT13 was also an inside joke, by the way...

HAHA protect the geeks! Thanks for sharing ;-) By the way, I remember higher standards in those "dinner plan"-mails... But indeed the ROT13 is an inside joke, one that still cracks me up ;-)

ROT13 is especially hard if you don't know of any online decoders on the intarweb so you have to do it manually ;-)

This is my personal website, not my boss', not my mother's, and certainly not the pope's. My personal opinions may be irrelevant, inaccurate, boring or even plain wrong, I'm sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable. But then again, you don't have to read them, I just hope you'll find something interesting here now and then. I'll certainly do my best. But if you don't like it, go read the pope's blog. I'm sure it's fascinating.
