Whidbey Delayed - You Bastards!#

ZDNet brings us the sad news that Microsoft delayed Whidbey and Yukon until the first half of 2005. You utter, utter bastards! I want this stuff now! Actually, I do have alpha bits from the PDC of course, but they're wearing off ;-) And I have a later build but that's pretty unstable. I want some new goodies and even the beta doesn't seem to be coming any time soon... Somebody ease my pain!

If I could choose, I'd chose a VS.NET with less bugs that is delayed instead of a VS.NET with more bugs that is on time! But I just heard you can download a new Java version... :-P

Well, we wanna make sure that the stuff you get is the stuff you need and that it has the quality you expect. Scoble knows about the frustrations you (and I) have. (http://radio.weblogs.com/0001011/2004/03/11.html#a6966)

Then again, we get hammered by business people saying we launch stuff to fast, people can't keep up with our technology. Even today I heard some customer asking for copies of a NT4 CD!!! Yes can you imagine, NT4.

Anyway, the teams are aware of your eagerness to get your hands on something new and more stable... so hang in there.

Yeah I know the reason for the delay is good (less bugs, higher quality, better integration with Yukon, ...) but - dammit - I wanna dive in and explore the new goodies. At least, I hope to get my hands on a more or less stable new alpha or beta anytime soon :-)

Oh by the way, the new Java release is looking pretty sharp - pun intended :-)

This is my personal website, not my boss', not my mother's, and certainly not the pope's. My personal opinions may be irrelevant, inaccurate, boring or even plain wrong, I'm sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable. But then again, you don't have to read them, I just hope you'll find something interesting here now and then. I'll certainly do my best. But if you don't like it, go read the pope's blog. I'm sure it's fascinating.
