SharpToolbox#

SharpToolbox is a "comprehensive list of development tools for .NET". Looks really great, lots of stuff on there and you can search by category or by attributes ("gimme everything that's free"). And it even has rss feeds! How come I didn't find this sooner...

(Hmm and it's also hosted on Webhost4life, same as Rory and Tom as I've noticed. If I'd decide to actually host my site somewhere (like, on a real server) I guess I'll go there. Looks like a pretty great service.)

Well, Webhost4life is great considering the low cost for their virtual hosting. You will have to live with not so huge performance and some downtimes. But if you want really cheap hosting, you could have a look at Zesthost (http://www.zesthost.com/windows_hosting.asp). They don't have as many features as Webhost4life (such as SQL Server or unlimited bandwidth), but they are even a lot cheaper (yes, this is possible). I don't have any personal experiences with that hosting company, so I cannot recommend it. But wanted to share that info with you.

Yes I've seen some posts by Rory complaining about some downtimes and an occasional loss of email. I have to admit that's been bugging me a little bit. Certainly since I want an all-in-one solution, including email. And I want it to run smooth else there's no point in paying extra for it. So I'm still in doubt. Zesthost does look ok, but it's pretty basic (I'd really like IMAP on my email for example) and well, just too cheap to be any good I guess. And with Webhost4life, at least I know what to expect ;-) I guess I'll just let it sit for a little while longer...
